Six weeks after she made her national TV debut with a performance on ABC's The Bachelor, Canadian-born singer-songwriter Tenille Arts has signed a recording deal with Reviver, Billboardhas exclusively learned.
Mystery is similarly embedded in “Cold Feet,” a new song from independent artist Tenille Arts that has “movie” stamped all over it. The piece finds a young woman torn by a difficult decision as her June 18 wedding date quickly approaches. The overarching plot bears a resemblance to the Julia Roberts romantic comedy Runaway Bride.
Tenille Arts is hot on the scene with her new self-titled EP. Chosen for the 2016 Canadian Country Music Association Discovery Program, she’s been building her career at home, and recently moved to Nashville to pursue music full-time. With songwriting inspired by Don Henley and reminiscent of early Taylor Swift, and vocals the size of her native Canada, Arts’ future is bright.
Tenille Arts is unafraid. The singer-songwriter moved from her native Canada at just 21 years of age, leaving behind her family, her boyfriend and everything that was familiar, to pursue her dream of living in Nashville and finding success in country music.
If you watch ABC’s The Bachelor, you probably noticed the musical guest during Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s one-on-one date with Chelsea Roy in last night’s episode.
Up and coming country music artist, Tenille Arts accompanied the couple and performed one of her songs called, “Moment of Weakness.” I’ve written about Arts a few times before, so it’s cool to see her hard work coming back around in ways like this. You can catch her performance by watching week five of The Bachelor and you can hear the song she sang below. Keep an eye on this girl, she’s comin’ in hot.
Tenille Arts is literally making her dreams come true. The singer and November's #LetTheGirlsPlay artist of the month has songs called "Dash Light" and "You Can't Steal a Heart" that were culled from an imaginative, if overactive, subconscious.
"So I had this dream that I had lassoed the moon," Arts says, sipping hot tea at a Nashville coffee shop, "and I was hanging on the moon and then I just woke up and wrote down 'hanging on the moonlight.'"
Tenille Arts is a rising country music sensation from Canada. She recently released her brand new single ‘Moment Of Weakness’ which she performed on the hit US reality show The Bachelor. The talented singer/songwriter has just released the deluxe version of her debut album ‘Rebel Child‘.
There is something really special about a female county voice and Tenille Arts has a sensational vocal that just washes over you. ‘Moment Of Weakness’ is up there with the hit releases from the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, and Danielle Bradbery. The gorgeous stripped back country ballad will leave you wanting more and it has the potential to make Arts a worldwide superstar.
One of the cool, unexpected parts of The Bachelor is that we are introduced to up-and-coming artists. During week five of Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s second chance at love, his one-on-one date with single mom Chelsea Roy was accompanied by the sweet country tunes of Tenille Arts.
Who is this talented beauty? Aside from the song she sang on The Bachelor, "Moment of Weakness," you might have heard her stuff before! Back in October, she released her first full-length album, Rebel Child, as an independent artist and debuted at No. 2, just after Chris Young's Losing Sleep. Pandora, the music streaming service, named her one of its "2017 Country Artists to Watch."
